Arrive Early and Join the Day-Long Celebration

July 4

Golf Cart Parade / Dinghy Parade
Crescent Ave / 1 pm
Avalon’s annual July 4th festivities begin at 1:00 pm with a Crescent Avenue parade of creatively-decorated golf carts, followed by a performance of the USC Trojan Marching Band and Song Girls.  At 3:30 pm, a procession of patriotic-themed dinghies, hosted by the Catalina Island Yacht Club, winds its way around Avalon Bay. Don't miss fireworks over the Avalon Bay, starting at dusk.

USC Trojan Marching Band Concert
Catalina Casino / 7:30 pm
The Catalina Island Company and the City of Avalon are excited to announce the return of the USC Trojan Marching Band to the Catalina Casino for an evening concert on the Fourth of July. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the Spirt of Troy back to the Casino Ballroom. With the Casino’s storied history of big band concerts, it’s only natural that the largest band to visit Avalon each year be invited to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest musicians of all time. The concert will also give island visitors and residents the opportunity to help keep this patriotic tradition alive, as $10 of every ticket sold will be donated to cover the USC Band’s travel expenses,” said Wesley Alfvin, Creative Director of Activities for the Catalina Island Company. 
 
Doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the concert will begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and refreshments will be available for purchase at the bar in the Casino Ballroom. Following the concert, guests will be invited to stay and enjoy the annual fireworks display at 9:00 pm from the Casino’s Ocean Promenade.  GET TICKETS 

Sparkle & Sip Harbor Cruise
Avalon Harbor / 9 pm
View the Fireworks from the Harbor: Cruise out onto Avalon Bay aboard the Cyclone power boat for a unique perspective of Catalina’s annual 4th of July fireworks. You’ll be right in the middle of all the action, as you watch a spectacular barrage of colorful fireworks ignite the evening sky high above the glow of downtown Avalon and the iconic Casino. Two Harbors Fireworks Celebration

JOIN US FOR A SPECTACULAR SHOW ON THE SHORE OF ISTHMUS COVE

Two Harbors Annual Independence Day Celebration is packed with patriotic fun for the whole family, including our annual Fireworks Spectacular over Isthmus Cove, Children’s Festival in Buffalo Park, and Dinghy Parade along the Two Harbors shoreline. If you’re coming from Avalon, you can catch the Cyclone power boat at the Green Pier and be in Two Harbors in time for the fireworks. 

July 3

Annual Children’s Festival 
Buffalo Park / 10 am to noon
Bring the kids over to Buffalo Park for this annual Two Harbors summer tradition, featuring arts & crafts and fun activities for kids of all ages. 

Annual Dinghy Parade 
Isthmus Cove Pier / Depart at 2 pm - Return at 3 pm
Decorate your dinghy in a patriotic theme and join the parade as we cruise along the coast and through the coves of the West End. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative dinghies. 

Annual Fireworks Spectacular 
Isthmus Cove / 9 pm
Come early, grab a bite and cool beverage at Harbor Reef Restaurant, and then get ready to watch the sky light up over Isthmus Cove. 

Travel from Avalon  

Two Harbors Fireworks Voyage: Board the Cyclone for a high speed journey to the West End of Catalina Island, and spend the evening in Two Harbors.Enjoy a stroll to Cat Harbor, or grab a drink and a bite to eat at Harbor Reef Restaurant before viewing the Fireworks over the bay. Then return to the Cyclone for an exhilarating after dark adventure back to Avalon. Departs for Two Harbors at 6 pm and returns to Avalon after the Grand Finale. GET TICKETS

Two Harbors Fireworks Motor Tour: Venture into Catalina’s outback on a 90 minute bus ride as you make your way to the rustic village of Two Harbors.Take a stroll to Cat Harbor, or grab a drink and a bite to eat at Harbor Reef Restaurant. Then enjoy a spectacular view of the Fireworks over the bay before heading back to Avalon. Departs for Two Harbors at 5:30 pm and returns to Avalon after the Grand Finale. GET TICKETS
