CATALINA ISLAND COMPANY PAYS TRIBUTE TO THOSE SERVING THE COMMUNITY DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Avalon’s Landmark Catalina Casino is Illuminated in Red and White

AVALON, CALIF. (APR 7, 2020) — Catalina Island Company has illuminated the iconic Casino with alternating red and white lights as a tribute to the heroes who are providing essential services to Catalina Island during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“There are many essential workers putting their own lives at risk to serve the Avalon and Two Harbors communities, including employees from our hospital, grocery store, bank, drug store, Sheriff, fire department, taxi service, take out restaurants, and more,” said Randy Herrel, Sr., president and CEO of Catalina Island Company. “We appreciate their dedication to keep Catalina Island functioning during this difficult time. We know they are putting their own lives at risk to serve others. We’re all in this together.”

The Catalina Casino will remain illuminated with red and white lights in place of its signature white lights through April 30, 2020.
