Rotating Themes Include Prime Rib Sunday and Burger Night Thursday
Avalon Grille on Catalina Island is celebrating California Restaurant Month by offering diners a different themed special on Sunday through Thursday nights. Patrons can enjoy everything from three types of ramen on Ramen Monday to four different burgers on Burger Night Thursday.
Located across from the Avalon waterfront and iconic Green Pier, Avalon Grille serves a variety of signature and regional dishes that incorporate premium meats, local fish, and farmstand produce. The restaurant’s central bar offers world-class wines, micro-brews and signature cocktails, like Catalina’s original Buffalo Milk and the Wrigley Martini, which was first served at The Wrigley Bar in Chicago’s landmark Wrigley Building in the 1950s.
Offered from 5 pm to closing, Avalon Grille’s five nightly specials are:
Prime Rib Sunday – Includes a grilled 10oz cut of premium Angus beef with all the trimmings ($32)
Ramen Monday – Offering three varieties: miso pork belly ($16), spicy shrimp ($18), and vegetable ($15)
Tacos & Tequilas Tuesday – Serving duo pork tacos ($4ea) and flights of tequila ($15)
Wine Down Wednesday – Patrons enjoy half off select bottles of wine starting a 4 pm
Burger Night Thursday – Four burger options ($19ea): Oaxaca, chicken & pork belly, ahi tuna, and lamb
“We wanted to offer something unique every evening to entice our guests to come back and explore different dishes and flavors throughout the week,” said Roberto Hernandez, executive chef of the Catalina Island Company, which owns and operates Avalon Grille, as well as Descanso Beach Club, home of Avalon’s only beachside restaurant and bar.
