Just 26 miles off the coast of Southern California, the island is easily accessible via high speed ferry with indoor and outdoor seating areas from Long Beach, San Pedro, Newport Beach or Dana Point, CA. Catalina Island Company purposely designed its properties to host groups from start to finish. A great way to accomplish work goals while still maintaining a safe distance, Catalina is the perfect place for small and large meetings, social groups, corporate incentive groups, school groups and military reunions.

VENUES

Avalon houses four primary venues, the iconic Catalina Casino, the Catalina Country Club, Catherine's Terrace at Descanso Beach and the Descanso Beach Club. Perhaps the Catalina Casino and Descanso Beach Club are the most optimal for social distancing, as the Catalina Casino ballroom is extremely spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Descanso Beach Club is also a prime location, with a lush lawn designed for safely socializing at any capacity. We also have numerous off-site locations at which we can provide catering and meeting set up, including hotels. The breezy and elegant oceanfront Pavilion Hotel and newly-remodeled Hotel Atwater will warmly welcome your meeting attendees or guests. We offer special group rates at both hotels.

For smaller meetings or corporate retreats, Two Harbors is an excellent option. Venues include the 12 room Banning House Lodge or 2 3-bedroom villas, all of which have stunning views.

CATERING

If you’re looking for a catered meeting or event, we provide world-class catering in Avalon at all of our venues and at a variety of off-site locations. We also offer catering services in Two Harbors at The Banning House Lodge, at our guest cottages and within our scenic beachfront picnic areas.
