Little Harbor Campground

Rated "One of the Best Campgrounds in the West" by Sunset Magazine, Little Harbor Campground is perfect for campers who enjoy playing on the beach or in the water. Located about seven miles east of Two Harbors and 16 miles from Avalon, Little Harbor is a sandy, beachfront campground with lots of opportunities for recreation. This beautiful campground is the only one on Catalina's remote “backside." 

Purchase your favorite food and drinks from the Two Harbors General Store and have your items delivered directly to your campsite at Little Harbor . Pick up a single-use cooler from the Two Harbors General Store and stock up on groceries like fresh fruit and vegetables, hot dogs, sandwich items, beer, wine, and more! We'll deliver your cooler with a bag of ice to Little Harbor for only $20.

Please be aware that campers should bring face coverings and hand sanitizer. If campers need hand sanitizer, it is available for purchase at the Two Harbors General Store.

Directions to Campground

Little Harbor is accessible from either Two Harbors (25 min), the Catalina Island Conservancy Wildlands Express Shuttle, or by biking or hiking a strenuous trail along an unpaved road.

Group gear hauls are available from Two Harbors to Little Harbor and Little Harbor to Two Harbors.  Please call the Two Harbors Visitor Service Center at 310.510.4205 for further information. 

Reservations must be made in advance.  Small Gear Haul/one way = $185 Large Gear Haul/one way = $225

Equipment Rental

Selected camping equipment is available for rent from Two Harbors Visitor Services. For more information, please call: 310-510-4205 (Please note that reservations booked over the phone are subject to a $10 administration fee).

Sleeping Bag $35 Available for purchase only
2-Burner Stove $18 per day includes 16 oz propane
Firewood $10 per bundle first last approx 1.5 hrs per bundle
Propane $8 16 oz canister
Charcoal $16 7 lb bag & match light

*Firewood, fire starters, charcoal & propane can be added to your reservation by calling Two Harbors Visitor Services. All other supplies & equipment are available on a walk-up only basis. Sleeping bags can not be purchased online. **2-burner stoves require a $100 deposit that will be refunded once the tent is returned to Visitor Services in the same condition it was when it was rented out.

Policies

Reserve America does charge a $9.25 service fee rather you book online or over the telephone.  If reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of the reservation start date the camping fees will be refunded.  Reserve America does keep the $9.25 booking fee.

Campers can check in at the Two Harbors Visitor Service Center in Two Harbors.  If coming through Avalon campers can phone the Two Harbors Visitor Service Center at 310.510.4205.

WARNING: If Catalina Island is experiencing adverse weather there is a possibility of trail, road, and campground closures. High winds could result in possible express boat cancellations.
