Camping
Camping is the most intimate way to enjoy Santa Catalina Island’s rugged beauty. However, to protect the island’s unique environment, the following rules and regulations apply to all Santa Catalina Island campgrounds. Please observe these guidelines as fully as possible.
The Two Harbors Campground offers two varieties of camping: regular tent camping and unique tent cabins. The campground sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Catalina's Isthmus, just a quarter-mile outside the village of Two Harbors.
The Parson’s Landing Campground is a secluded beach camping site located seven miles west of the village of Two Harbors. The eight primitive campsites accommodate up to six people each and are accessible only via a moderately difficult hike or kayak trip.
The Blackjack Campground is nestled among pine and eucalyptus trees near 2,097-foot Mt. Orizaba , Santa Catalina Island ’s highest peak. At 1,600 feet above sea level, the facility provides eleven campsites with sweeping views of rolling terrain to the ocean.
Rated "One of the Best Campgrounds in the West" by Sunset Magazine, Little Harbor Campground is perfect for campers who enjoy playing on the beach or in the water.
Santa Catalina Island ’s Boat-In Campsites allow you to enjoy true seclusion along the amazing Pacific coast. There are 17 sites at nine locations around the northeast shore of Avalon . These campsites can only be reached by boat or kayak, and you must pack in your own equipment and supplies.Hermit Gulch

The Hermit Gulch Campground is Avalon’s only camping facility. Located 1.5 miles from the Avalon boat landing, the campground is situated on a tree-lined grassy field in Avalon Canyon, near the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden. Hermit Gulch offers pretty views of the surrounding hills and access to hiking trails nearby.
