Rated "One of the Best Campgrounds in the West" by Sunset Magazine, Little Harbor Campground is perfect for campers who enjoy playing on the beach or in the water. Located about seven miles east of Two Harbors and 16 miles from Avalon, Little Harbor is a sandy, beachfront campground with lots of opportunities for recreation. This beautiful campground is the only one on the remote “backside” of Catalina.
Directions to Campground
Little Harbor is accessible from either Two Harbors or Avalon by the Safari Bus or by biking or by hiking a strenuous trail along an unpaved road. (The Safari Bus is a paid service. Please see below for more information.) Gear haul is available from Two Harbors for a fee. Baggage space is limited and bus reservations should be made at time of campsite booking.
Bus Pass Information
Our Safari Bus Pass is valid for 2 adults to travel between Two Harbors and Little Harbor for a fee. Guests receive a laminated bus pass that they will need to present to the driver. Reservations are highly recommended as if guests do not make a reservation upon purchase, travel on the bus becomes available based on space available. Click here for Safari Bus pricing.
Selected camping equipment is available for rent from Two Harbors Visitor Services. For more information, please call: 310-510-8368 (Please note that reservations booked over the phone are subject to a $25 administration fee).
Campers must first check-in at either Island Plaza in Avalon or Two Harbors Visitor Services. There is a 10-day maximum stay at all campgrounds.
