Catalina’s Back-to-School Special

This package includes accommodations at the Pavilion Lodge or Hotel Atwater; round trip boat transportation on the Catalina Express; Casino Tour and a choice of Glass Bottom Boat Tour or Avalon Scenic Tour.

Enjoy your accommodations at the Pavilion Lodge, located 14 steps from the beach, or the historic Hotel Atwater located right in the center of town. Ride over to the island on the sleek and comfortable Catalina Express September 2nd through September 18th, Sunday through Thursday arrivals only. Must depart mainland after 12noon and depart island prior to 12noon.

On the Casino Tour you'll see the extraordinary Art Deco murals and a classic 1929 pipe organ inside the Avalon Theatre and an uphill walk to the crowning jewel of the building, the Casino Ballroom where the big bands use to play.

You will have a choice of one of the following tours:

The Avalon Scenic Tour: you'll see picture-perfect views and colorful local attractions as your guide shares interesting Catalina Island history and folklore from the comfort of our passenger vehicle.

Try our famous Glass Bottom Boat Tour into clear water of Lover's Cove Marine Sanctuary. They'll have a chance to see bright orange Garibaldi, huge schools of bait fish, leopard sharks, barracudas, lobsters and more.

Restrictions may apply. Sunday through Thursday arrivals only. Must depart mainland after 12noon and depart island prior to 12noon.

  2. Check New or Existing customer.
  3. Press the continue button on "Welcome to Catalina Island & the Pavilion Lodge" page.
  4. Choose your arrival/departure dates, # of nights, # of adult/children and room type. Press the "Available Room Type" button.
  5. Click on "View rates & calendar" Scroll down below the calendar and view the rate and package chart for available packages.
  6. Please note: If a package is not listed, then it is either not available for the date requested or the lodging property chosen.
