Avalon’s only seaside restaurant and bar has been completely transformed for 2010 and features upgraded facilities with new high-end amenities such as private *cabana and chaise lounge rentals.
A favorite of both visitors and locals, this is a popular escape from downtown Avalon during the summer season. Situated in a private cove just past the Casino, the beach club offers the beauty of a private beach with all the advantages of a club.
Enjoy the splendor of Descanso Beach Club from a private cabana. Rentals are available seven days a week from 11am to 6pm in season. Each cabana has an ocean view, accommodations for a maximum of six people and include the following:
- Two chaise lounge chairs
- Patio dining table with four chairs
- Bowl of whole assorted fruit
- Cabana host/hostess and food server
- Complimentary wireless Internet
- Complimentary beach towels for use while at Descanso Beach Club
The open-air restaurant offers daytime and evening dining with fire rings on the beach and two outdoor bars. A new activity center will house one-stop shopping for activities at the beach club and around the island, including; Zip Line, Sea Trek, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, Snuba, massages, golf tee times and all Discovery Tours. The Descanso Beach Club also serves as the home and staging area for the new Zip Line and Sea Trek adventures.
During the summer months, join us for BBQ Under the Stars every Friday and Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Bring your own meat or purchase market priced meat and seafood at the BBQ to grill yourself on our 25 foot long open-air barbecue. We provide the spices, sauces, condiments, and 10 different hot and cold sides or salads. The BBQ Under the Stars is one of the most memorable dinners out to be had in Avalon. Reservations recommended but not required.

There is a $2 per person fee for using the private beach, no charge when seated in the dining or bar area.

*Cabana Cancellation/No Show Policy: Require notice by 10:00am at least 1 day prior to rental request to avoid any cancellation fee. Notification after 10:00am and up to the day of rental request will result in a 50% charge to credit card. Failure to notify or cancellation on the same day will result in a full (100%) charge to credit card.
