The Descanso Beach Club acts as the adventure hub of Catalina Island. As the Zip Line Eco Tour's Base Camp and with a clean and pristine waterfront, this private beach club has something for every guest.

Zip Line Eco Tour

Starting almost 600 feet above sea level in the hills overlooking Avalon, this 3,700 foot zip line is comprised of 5 heart pounding zips across Descanso Canyon, flying towards the ocean on the last one! Want an even more extreme experience? Try our new Night Zip Tour. Highlights include:

Reach speeds of up to 45 miles an hour while crisscrossing Descanso Canyon

Catalina Climbing Tower

This new 32 foot climbing wall towers above the Zip Line Base Camp at the Descanso Beach Club. Try the 8 separate climbing routes, designed from the easiest to the most difficult. Routes are color coded for difficulty, race your friends or challenge yourself!

Views of the beach and ocean from the top of the 32 foot wall
climbing routes for every level of experience

Descanso Beach Ocean Sports

Descanso Beach Ocean Sports, or DBOS, has a great selection of sit-on-top and touring kayaks and a selection of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs). Guided kayak excursions are available every day, and all expeditions are led by skilled kayak guides trained in first aid and CPR.
