Hermit Gulch Campgrounds
Avalon’s Only Campground
The Hermit Gulch Campground is Avalon’s only camping facility. Located 1.5 miles from the Avalon boat landing, the campground is situated on a tree-lined grassy field in Avalon Canyon, near the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden. Hermit Gulch offers pretty views of the surrounding hills and access to hiking trails nearby.

Directions to Campground
Hermit Gulch is located on Avalon Canyon Road one mile from downtown Avalon. Taxi service is available from the Avalon Boat Landing.

Equipment Rental
Equipment and tent cabin rentals are available on a daily basis.
Tips
Many campers enjoy the slight uphill hike from the Avalon Boat Landing. If you prefer, taxi service is available from the Avalon Boat Landing. Baggage service is available for a fee from the Catalina Boat Service, located at the Avalon Boat Landing.
