Parties and Events

3 days and 2 nights of the the biggest and best parties and events at the Catalina SUP Festival. There is no better time in the year to be in the stand-up paddling community.

Friday

• 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - VIP party and the Casino Foyer (first 100 registrants get priority VIP entrance) then first come first serve access. Mingle with pros and industry vetrans with a cocktail and tray passed Hors Devours in the Casino Foyer
• 7:00 pm - 12:00 am - SUP Magazine Industry Awards - The biggest night of the year for Stand-Up Paddling. Honoring standup's top three male and female paddlers and pick the Movie of the Year, the Top Expedition and Top Philanthropic Effort. Voters also nominate their choice for the Lifetime Achievement Award, given to a legend who has invigorated the sport. This is a night not to be missed and open to the public, limited seats available get your tickets NOW!
• 7:00pm - 8:30pm – Dinner
• 8:30pm – 9:45pm – SUP magazine Industry Award
• 9:45pm – 12:00am – Concert (Artist TBD)
  
  

Saturday

• 9:00am - 5:00pm - Expo on the lawn at the Descanso Beach Club.
• 9:00am – 1:00pm - Elite race - heats of 30 competitors (2 laps each) Course max 120 elite men (4 heats), 60 elite women (2 heats). Top 10 from each heat meet in the final event at the end of the race day (2 laps). Course paddle has multiple S turns and sprint run finish. Spectator viewing at Descanso Beach, along the walkway and at the Casino Point.
• 1:00pm - 4:00pm – Open age group race begins (2 laps) around the perimeter of the race course.
• 4:00pm – 5:00pm - Men's and Women's elite race final. $$$ prize purse (2 laps)

• 5:00 pm – 7:00pm - Film shorts screening SUP movies in the Casino Theatre Watch the best SUP movies of the year in the iconic Casion Theater!
• 7:00pm – 10:00 pm - Saturday BBQ Party and race awards at the Descanso Beach Club. 1st – 3rd place in each age category will receive a piece of Catalina tile with event logo on the back.
  
  

Sunday

• 9:00am - 5:00pm - Expo on the lawn at the Descanso Beach Club.
• 9:00am - 12:00pm – Mass start distance race to Long Point and back for elites (8 miles round trip) and a 2-3 mile race for open age group paddlers
• 9:00am - 5:00pm – Demo expo and exhibitors on the lawn at the Descanso Beach Club.
• 12:00pm – 3:00pm - Descanso Beach Lunch BBQ, band on the lawn and event raffle.
